17th of May

Known also as Grunnlovsdagen (Constitution Day) and National Day, Syttende Mai translates literally as the “17th of May.” On this date in 1814, the Norwegian Constitution was signed, marking the end of more than four centuries of Danish rule.

Lodges in District 2, Sons of Norway celebrate  Syttende Mai in many ways. We have  pictures of some of the celebrations – if you would like your lodge celebration shown, please send your pictures with your information  to Web Content Manager.
